Our world and community, as we knew it, has changed overnight. Businesses big and small, schools, gyms, and even restaurants had to adapt to the unexpected wave of Covid-19, and so did Kenney Counseling Services, PLLC. At Kenney Counseling Services, PLLC, or KCS, we continuously adapt to the need of our clients and the needs of the world. KCS offers contactless, virtual counseling services to meet the needs of our clients. The recent changes repositioned us where we need to be to continue to provide support and be outstanding Therapists for our Texas communities virtually. Telehealth (video therapy) creates a healthy space to connect with our clients while still maintaining safe social distances. We understand the importance of everyone’s health at this time and will make sure that your mental health has the support needed to thrive in the changing world.

Our Mission:

“To educate and change minds about mental health and its impact on our daily lives”.

Hi! I’m Margaret Kenney, Wife, Mother, and Owner of Kenney Counseling Services, PLLC. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology and Master Of Science in Counseling and Guidance from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Currently, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the state of Texas. I possess over ten years of experience working with teens and adults battling a host of diagnoses, from anxiety, depression, addictions, PTSD, adjustment disorders, and many more. I have also worked in numerous settings such as healthcare clinics, corrections, educational and residential settings to meet the needs of each client.

Treatment is centered on the understanding of each patients’ unique concerns, identifying individual strengths, and working with the Client to develop skills to overcome obstacles. During this process, I am sensitive, supportive, and solution-focused in offering therapeutic services. Each individual is so unique; therefore, I have an Eclectic style to engaging patients in therapy. My therapeutic method includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional disorders.
